Free family Easter activities and weight loss sessions have been added to the Fenland District Council's Active Fenland programme.

The initiative offers free and affordable exercise classes for residents.

The programme caters to everyone, including fall prevention for the elderly and running sessions for families.

Councillor Alex Miscandlon, portfolio holder for leisure at FDC, said: "The Active Fenland programme is always packed with exciting, valuable, and varied health and wellbeing activities for all ages and abilities.

"It’s excellent to see additional family fun available in Easter holidays, and we look forward to seeing lots of families enjoying themselves and getting active at the same time."

He highlighted the free sessions for people wanting to lose weight, which include gym and leisure centre memberships.

Family Easter holiday running sessions for adults and children aged 12 and over are available in Wisbech and March.
