Temporary repairs are to be made to a damaged Fenland road.

The action comes after locals contacted the Cambs Times to share their concern about a growing pothole at the roundabout near Tesco in March.

A Cambridgeshire County Council spokesperson said: “We’re aware of the damaged road surface on the roundabout on Hostmoor Avenue.

“Temporary repairs will be made today to enable the road to remain open ahead of a permanent fix."

The council added that the repair work has been scheduled to take place later this week.

The spokesperson added: "It will take place overnight on Friday July 18 in an effort to minimise traffic disruption.”
