A five-year-old from Chatteris has been revealed as a winner in a worldwide maths competition.
Iman Guellec, who is home-schooled, was announced as the Level 1 winner in the British Youth International College's eighth annual International Maths Olympiad.
This free online competition, which celebrates Maths Week Scotland, saw thousands of young participants from around the globe.
Iman's parents, Shilla and Glenn Guellec, said: "BYITC has made maths a subject my child truly looks forward to.
"The teachers make every concept simple and fun to understand.
"The Olympiad preparation feels exciting rather than stressful."
The competition is based on BYITC's Abacus Maths programme, requiring students to answer 50 questions in one hour.
Results are determined by accuracy and speed of completion.
Young participants utilise concepts like finger and mental theory.
The top performers across eleven levels of BYITC Supermaths training are awarded certificates and prizes.
Dr Rashmi Mantri, BYITC's founder, said: "Congratulations to each of the winners.
"Every child who took part deserves enormous credit as we can tell they gave it their best shot."
