The operations director at a rehabilitation centre has been named "Rehab Leader of the Year" at the NR Times Awards 2025.
Aliyyah-Begum Nasser, from Askham Rehab in March, was voted as the winner of the nationally recognised award.
The award celebrates leaders who are shaping the future of neurorehabilitation through vision, innovation, and community-driven practice.
Under Ms Nasser's guidance as operations director, Askham Rehab has embraced new technology and progressive therapy approaches, whilst still focusing on enhancing the experience for residents and their families.
Reflecting on her award win, Ms Nasser said: "I am deeply honoured by this recognition and incredibly touched that so many people took the time to vote.
"This award reflects the work of a truly exceptional team: colleagues, clinicians, partners, and families who believe in delivering rehabilitation that is ambitious, compassionate, and forward-thinking.
"I’m proud of what we have built together, and this inspires me to keep pushing for what’s possible."
She was praised by colleagues at Askham Rehab for her strategic ambition and belief that rehabilitation thrives when people feel supported and involved.
