Longcroft Cat Hotel opening in Upwell near Wisbech

Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel is opening its 35th location in Upwell, near Wisbech, this June.

Located on School Road and surrounded by countryside, the hotel promises “natural cat TV” and a peaceful stay for each guest.

Nichola Hannigan, who will run the hotel alongside her husband Andrew Simpkins and mother Elaine Hefferman, said: "We wake up every day to birdsong and complete peace.

"Our hotel is designed to share that same sense of calm with every cat that stays with us."

Designed for a peaceful feline retreat, Longcroft Upwell offers eight individually designed suites, each with a climate-controlled bedroom and a private secure play area with multi-storey platforms overlooking the beautiful garden.

The launch will be marked by a grand opening event open to the public on Sunday, July 12, from 12pm to 2pm, with West Norfolk's Deputy Mayor Councillor Vivienne Spikings cutting the ribbon.

Visitors can enjoy tours of the facility, Longcroft hospitality, and goodie bags, which will be available to the first 50 guests.

"We love the idea of being ‘trusted caretakers’ for other people’s cats, giving them the same love and attention we’d want for our own."

The family team settled in Norfolk for a quieter way of life after moving from Hertfordshire.

Andrew, is an arborist, and her mother Elaine is a former healthcare worker and keen gardener.

Their passion for feline care began during the pandemic when their own cats joined the family and quickly became central to everything.

The opening of Longcroft Upwell reflects growing demand for premium cat care across the UK.
