Firefighters are battling a blaze in a field which has spread to a nearby conifers and hedges.

Crews from Wisbech, Thorney, Gamlingay, Huntingdon and the Peterborough Volunteer Fire Bridge were called to the fire on Badgeney End, in March.

A specialist 4x4 vehicle from Thorney is also in attendance, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed.

A spokesperson said: "Firefighters arrived to find a field on fire that had spread to conifers and hedges.

"Wearing breathing apparatus, they are using hose reels to extinguish the fire".
