Two local businesses have raised more than £2,600 for Tapping House Hospice after joining forces for a 5k mud obstacle challenge on August 23.
Insane Terrain and Bowsers joined forces to raise funds for Tapping House Hospice.
They did this through an annual 5k mud obstacle course held at Insane Terrain.
The fundraising effort was organised by Kirsty and her team from Bowsers in memory of Kirsty’s boyfriend’s father, who was cared for by Tapping House in his final days.
The hospice provided "exceptional" support and care to the family, prompting them to give something back.
Kirsty said: "The care, compassion, and dignity that Tapping House showed him and his family during his final days was truly exceptional.
"Their support made an incredibly difficult time a little easier, and the family will always be grateful for the kindness and comfort they provided when it mattered most."
The event took place on August 23.
Tapping House, a hospice charity, relies on donations to provide care and support to families in need.
All the money raised will go directly to the hospice.
