A Fenland man who kicked his pregnant partner and abused her for years has been jailed.
Karl Evans, 34, of West Drive, March, was arrested in October 2024 after years of controlling and violent behaviour came to light.
For nearly 10 years, Evans assaulted the victim, tracked her movements and demanded access to her devices.
He put a tracker on her phone, installed cameras at home, bombarded her with calls and texts, and kicked her while she was pregnant.
After his arrest, she ended the relationship and moved home.
Evans was released on bail but barred from contacting or approaching her under a non-molestation order.
Despite the order, Evans turned up drunk at her home at about 5.35am on November 15, 2024, banged on the door and shouted abuse.
The following month, he called her 22 times from a withheld number and abused her during one call.
On January 25, he returned to her home and forced open a window after she told him to leave, then climbed inside and followed her upstairs.
She called the police, who arrested him at the scene.
At Huntingdon Law Courts on August 25, Evans was jailed for two years and two months after admitting controlling and coercive behaviour in an intimate relationship.
The court also imposed a restraining order.
DC Jake Boreham-Dennis, who investigated the case, said: "Karl Evans subjected the victim to years of controlling, intimidating, and violent behaviour, leaving her living in fear.
"Despite being arrested and made subject to a court order designed to protect the victim, he repeatedly ignored those restrictions and continued his campaign of harassment and abuse.
"I would like to commend the victim for her courage throughout this investigation, and I hope this sentence provides her with some reassurance as she moves forward with her life."
