A charity cricket match in Chatteris raised more than £1,500 for cancer research.
The match at Chatteris Cricket Club featured teams of Ship pub patrons and Chatteris Ladies Cricket players.
They played a 20-over softball match under the ladies’ league rules.
All Under Cover and Chambers Heating sponsored a barbecue, while Ari and the Flames performed live.
Residents and local businesses donated prizes for a raffle.
More than 100 people turned out, boosting the cricket club’s bar sales.
The event raised £1,512.50 for cancer research.
The organiser, who has terminal cancer, said: "Hope you are well.
"On the bank holiday Sunday, after months of planning, we had held a charity cricket match.
"We played a 20-over-a-side softball match within the ladies league rules.
"Most importantly, with well over a hundred people coming along for the day. It helped Chatteris Cricket Club’s bar sales."
The club was later targeted by burglars, who stole around £19,000 worth of groundskeeping equipment in November 2022.
