THIEVES have stolen around five thousand golf balls from a golf centre in Wimblington.

The incident happened between 9pm on Thursday September 7 and 7am on Friday September 8, when the balls where stolen from the driving range at the Priory Golf Centre, in March Road.

PC Mark Franklin, who is investigating, said: "The balls are yellow with 'range balls' written on them, so they are quite distinctive.

"I would appeal to anyone who has been offered balls matching this description at a discount price in the last couple of days to contact me.

"The balls are worth several thousand pounds and we are keen to trace them."

Anyone with information should contact PC Franklin at March Police Station on 0845 456 4564 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
