YOUNGSTERS from around the Fens went along to an event in March on Saturday to meet children's author C A Chance.

The author was at the Dragonfly Book, Art and Craft Fair held in the Mill View Scout Hall.

Fair organiser Vanessa Champion said: "Children of all ages from two to 12 came to have a book signed and talk to her about the 'Trepets'. The first book in the series was published in 2005, and this is the third in the series which has just been launched."

The books are being sold all over the world in Japan, Netherlands, Germany and America.

The author said: "I was delighted to see some familiar faces returning for the third book and I was really thrilled to see some email orders waiting from families who couldn't make the fair."

Next month C A chance and Vanessa Champion will be at Welney Country Fair. Vanessa will be running some activities for youngsters linking the message of the Trepets to the wildlife theme.
