Crisp manufacturers Corkers were invited to the Houses of Parliament as part of a taste of Cambridgeshire event.

Rod Garnham and David Glennan from Corkers Crisps joined the event organised by Shailish Vara MP for North West Cambridgeshire.

MP Steve Barclay said: “It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the quality food and drink producers we have in our area.

“I was proud to have an international company like Corkers Crisps representing Little Downham and North East Cambridgeshire.

“The Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs even stopped by to hear first-hand how Corkers Crisps are thriving in the international market.”

Corkers crisps are best friends Ross Taylor and Rod Garnham who launched the potato snack company in 2010.

It wasn’t long before they were fine-tuning the flavour combinations and developing quirky packaging.

In seven years Corkers has secured its place as one of the UKs most iconic brands.

Ross said: “Growing our own vegetables means we are in complete control of our supply chain from seed to packet, this is important because provenance and origin is an ethic we promise to you, our customer.

“From quintessentially English stately homes, National Trust properties, the National Gallery, countryside farm shops and local deli’s, to railways and airlines, Corkers is developing and changing everything we do, with new products coming soon, but still connected with our roots.”
