Students at Sir Harry Smith Community College in Whittlesey are celebrating after achieving top A-Level results.
Overall, 41 per cent of students claimed A* or A grades – 13 per cent up on last year – while 63 per cent of entries achieved A* to B grades – a 19 per cent increase from 2016.
Eighty-four per cent achieved A* to C grades and 98 per cent were awarded A* to E grades.
For the college’s vocational qualifications, 100 per cent of entries achieved a Distinction* to Merit grade, with 95 per cent achieving a Distinction* or Distinction.
An impressive 85 per cent of students have accepted university offers, while over a quarter of students have accepted places with Russell Group universities such as Cambridge, Bristol, Edinburgh and Birmingham.
Top performers include Esther Carter (A*, D*, A), who will go on to study at the University of Lincoln, Gregor Forest (A*, A, A), who has accepted a place at the University of York, and Lauren Hammersly (A*, A*, A*, B) who will begin a maths course at the University of Warwick in September.
