Primary school pupils from Whittlesey enjoyed a trip to Stibbington Centre spending the week learning about habitats, food chains and mini beasts.
The Year Four pupils from Park Lane Primary and Nursery School challenged themselves by spending four nights and five days away from home, for many, this was their first time away from their family.
The programme of activities included a pirate treasure trail, pond dipping and learning about mini beasts, expanding their knowledge in a variety of subjects.
Teacher Peter Ingham said: “The week at Stibbington was fantastic and the children, and teachers, were getting in to a number of exciting activities. The trip was so popular that we had to run two in the end.
“At Park Lane we try to immerse our pupils in particular themes that span across all subject areas every day.
“The Stibbington trip is a perfect example of this. The pupils were engaging with the environment, outdoors and wildlife, but at the same time they were testing and expanding their knowledge of science, geography, maths and English as well as developing team-building skills.”
