GOLD jewellery including a wedding ring and a 100-year-old half sovereign has been stolen from a Fenland house.

Thieves broke into a house in High Street, Manea, and stole a haul of expensive items including a wishbone shaped gold brooch with small diamonds and an ingot on a chain along with the half sovereign dated 1915.

The other items stolen by offenders, between 11.30am and 6.30pm on April 1, were a brooch in a ‘D’ shape with a diamond in the corner, an oval locket containing a lock of hair and a photograph and an eternity ring set with diamonds.

DC Kayleigh O’Brien said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or who has been offered a similar item for sale at a reduced price.”
