A man who died after being hit by a car in Chatteris last weekend has been named.
Robert Akers, 32, from Burnsfield Estate, was involved in the collision on Saturday July 7 on the A141.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said: “We were called at about 10.55am on Saturday to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on the A141, Chatteris.
“A man sadly died at the scene.”
Officers at the scene sent out a social media message on Twitter following the incident: “We would like to thank the local residents for all the food, water and support shown. #randomactsofkindness.”
