FLOWER lovers in March have helped to raise about 1,000 for arson-hit church St Mary’s Church at a four-day flower festival.
There were around 30 flower displays on show in St Peter’s Church, in High Street, all depicting the chosen theme of ‘The World at Work’.
Pat Quince, who helped organise the festival, said: “It was four days of fun, flowers and fundraising and everybody enjoyed it very much.
“We really appreciate everyone’s support and special thanks go to St Peter’s church for holding the event.”
