MARGARET Kleyn welcomed Christian Morris, fund-raising manager for MAGPAS, and Zoe Peace, its fund-raising co-ordinator. Mr Morris received a cheque for £1,520 for MAGPAS, the club's chosen charity for 2006. He gave a talk on the work done by the association and was thanked by Sheila Forth. Sally Ward and her son Daryl were also guests; Daryl is being trained to be a first-responder for MAGPAS. Supper was served by members. Kath Smith and Gwen Lunn ran the raffle. At the annual meeting which followed, Elizabeth Goodley presented the treasurer's report and it was agreed to keep the annual subscription at £10 for 2007. The committee was re-elected. The chairman thanked the committee for their hard work and support. Members were also thanked for their work in fund-raising. Members voted to retain MAGPAS as their charity for 2007.
