THE mighty film, television and stage actor Sir Derek Jacobi joined another stalwart of the acting world at The Angles Theatre in Wisbech on Sunday, when they entertained a capacity audience for two hours.
Sir Derek was joined on stage with his close friend and fellow Angles patron Michael Burrell, helping to raise almost 2,000 of desperately needed funds for the theatre.
The two patrons had agreed to appear free of charge, and the sell-out night was boosted by a raffle for personally signed posters and joint signings of Mr Burrell’s book of poems, Eyeliner.
The pair were supported by young Cambridgeshire singer songwriter Bondy.
