I’M sad to read your front-page article on Friday. I am working with a group of other young people from the Waterlees area on the spinney project and I find it quite sad that the few people out there do actually spoil it for the ones that want to learn and go further in life.

That front-page article doesn’t make the playground sound a good place. But what many adults don’t realise is that not all young children are bad. Most of the young people breaking in are only doing that to have fun and play. They are so excited about the playground opening that they want to go in and explore the new site! I know for a fact that not all young people are bad because I am working on the project with quite a few of them.

I deliver the Wisbech Standard every week and was ashamed on Friday to be doing so. I felt quite upset that the project that I am working on is getting put down by older residents in the Waterlees area. I am helping with a tea and cake morning for residents to give us some history of the site before the playground started.
