A teenager suffered a suspected broken leg after his car plunged into a roadside ditch near Mepal, on Sunday.

Magpas Helixmedix were called to the scene, in Ireton’s Way, along with Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Littleport and Manea and paramedics shortly after 3pm.

A mini had left the road and ended in a ditch, with the driver suffering injuries to his head and leg.

He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
