The new school year at Wisbech Grammar School welcomed new pupils alongside changes to school timetables with a longer day and a greater variety of extra-curricular activities.
The school also welcomed its first group of academic and all-rounder scholars and exhibitioners selected following the launch of the programme last year.
Headmaster, Chris Staley, said, “I was delighted to see so much excitement and positivity on our return to school this week.
“It is an incredibly exciting time at Wisbech Grammar School with developments to the school day, the inaugural scholars and exhibitioners taking up their important roles within the school and the launch of new performing arts, music and sports programmes.
“We encourage pupils throughout the school to be involved in all areas of the curriculum and they are all positively encouraged to discover and follow their passions.
“These developments further enhance the all-round education offered across the school and create a solid foundation for our pupils’ success at school, university and beyond.”
To find out more, families are invited to attend an open morning (for ages 4-16) on September 24 from 10am to 12.30 or the sixth form open evening on October 18 from 6pm to 8pm.
