THE Coates May Day companion dog show attracted its best attendance so far, with owners and their canine companions enjoying a fun afternoon.
The event was organised by Fivejays Pet Care/Animal Education and included obedience classes for the first time. Organiser Marion House said she hoped to include this event each year from now on. There were four classes covering hopefuls, beginners, nearly there and smarty pants. Also new this year was the best novelty in show class, won by Christopher Sayers with his 10-month-old white boxer puppy, Lennox.
The dog show is held alongside the Coates May Day fete.
