A Whittlesey school is seeking former students to help inspire the current generation.
Sir Harry Smith Community College, in Eastrea Road, is being supported by the national education charity Future First, which helps schools get into contact with ex-students to build an effective alumni network.
The college wants to contact former students in established careers and recent leavers in further education or university, alumni who live nearby and those who have moved away.
Mrs Angela Curtis, pastoral manager for Key Stage 4 and careers co-ordinator, said:
“We are happy to be working with Future First to grow our Alumni group. A network of ex-pupils with all their valuable experience is vital in helping us to broaden current pupils’ career horizons and equip them for the world of work.”
Matt Lent, of Future First, said: ‘Students cannot be what they cannot see. It is vital to open their eyes to opportunities beyond their own world and show them the range of jobs and education available.”
Former students can register via the link https://networks.futurefirst.org.uk/formerstudent/sirharrysmith or by emailing Angela Curtis at firstname.lastname@example.org
