AN appeal has gone out to make Easter “eggs-tra” special for disadvantaged chidren in Fenland.
Staff at Anglia Co-operative Travel in March and Wisbech are asking the public to support their Easter egg appeal - and the treats collected will be distributed through the Salvation Army in Wisbech and Home Start in March.
Wisbech branch manager Kelly Hubbard said:”This is the first time we have appealed for Easter eggs, but in the past our customers have responded brilliantly to our Christmas toys appeal; so I am sure they weill help us make Easter special too.”
Natasha Thatcher, the manager of the March branch added: It doesn’t matter whether its a big egg or a small one. It’s the thought that counts.”
Eggs can be left at the Wisbech branch in Church Terrace, or the March branch in Station Road, between 9am and 5.30pm, from Monday to Saturday. The appeal closes in March on April 16, and at Wisbech on April 20.
