The president of Anglia in Bloom stopped by at Netherall Manor and gardens to sample some of its historic and colourful displays last weekend.

Brian Thornton paid a visit to Timothy Clark, who owns the manor on Tanners Lane and had opened his gardens to the public.

Mr Clark has raised thousands of pounds for charity by opening the gardens during the summer months and their displays, which feature popular flowers and plants from decades gone by will go on show for the final time this year on Sunday (August 13) from 2 until 5pm.

Entrance is £2 and children are free. Home made tea will be provided.
