Anglian Water is cutting its water bill by seven per cent.
Customers will see their annual bill drop by on average £29 to an annual average of £402. The average bill for people with a water meter will decrease to £371.
Martyn Oakley, Anglian Water’s director of customer service, said: “We know household budgets remain under pressure. So we believe this price cut is timely and coming at a time when customers tell us they need it most.”
The company has pledged to spend £5billion between now and 2020 on projects including water main repairs, sewer maintenance, environmental protection and new water recycling equipment.
More information, including details of support available for those who struggle to pay their bill, is available on the Anglian Water website at www.anglianwater.co.uk/charges.
