A MARCH licensee built the courage to jump out of an aeroplane 12,000ft high to raise £380 for children's charity, ChildLine.

Annarita Duckett, 21, licensee of the Ship Inn, jumped last Wednesday with Mike Rust, chief instructor at the North London Parachute Centre, based at Chatteris Airfield. The jump was originally due to take place on August 12, but was postponed because of bad weather.

Annarita said: "I really enjoyed it. It was amazing. The scariest bit was where they opened the shutter door and I could not see the floor.

"I wanted to do something like that but never had the courage. When ChildLine said they wanted people to do a jump, it gave me the motivation.

Money was raised thanks to locals at the Ship Inn.
