A LITHUANIAN has been deported from Wisbech after an exhaustive appeals procedure determined he had never worked, as he claimed, in this country.
The Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) has started publishing its decisions and among the early cases reported is that of Aleksandras Liesys.
“The reality is that on the evidence there is nothing to indicate that Liesys meets the requirements to be treated as a worker,” ruled tribunal judge Alistair McGeachy.
