Chairman Bill Watkinson paid tribute to a long-standing member Jack Bateman who had died.
Mr Watkinson introduced speaker Tracey Tingey, the Milton Children's Hospice fund-raising co-ordinator, who gave a talk on the work done by the hospice. She was thanked by the chairman and presented with a donation from the club. Refreshments were served, with fund-raising stalls and the raffle. The club needs younger members to serve on the committee, and a secretary to take over from the current holder of the position who is retiring. Next meeting: Tuesday July 18 (2.30pm).
