HALF-term is almost upon us and there is a wonderful line-up of sporting and games activities for youngsters on offer at Fenland District Council's leisure centres.
At the Manor Leisure Centre, Whittlesey, the half term programme has a Halloween theme. From Monday October 22 to Friday October 26 the FunZone programme for five to 11-year-olds will include football, team games, Halloween arts and crafts, pumpkins and parachute games and dodge ball.
There will also be a Halloween fancy dress roller disco for children aged between five and 11 on Friday October 26 (7-8.30pm).
For youngsters aged between 10 and 14, the Junior Kids Aloud programme on Wednesday and Friday October 24 and 26 (2-3pm) there will be the opportunity to take part in junior fitness sessions in the fitness studio. Youngsters attending for the fist time must complete a pre-exercise questionnaire signed by a parent of guardian.

The George Campbell Leisure Centre, March, is also putting on half term activities with a Halloween theme. The Funzone, from 1pm to 3pm for children aged between five and 11, is offering pumpkin sculpture on Monday October 22, Halloween arts and crafts on Thursday October 25 and a Halloween fancy dress party on Friday October 26.
There are also opportunities to play on the bouncy castle and on Nintendo and Wii games on Wednesday October 24

At the Hudson Leisure Centre, Wisbech, the Junior Club will operate a packed programme from Monday October 22 to Friday October 26 (8.30am-5.30pm).
Activities include: swimming, football, multi-activity sessions, rounders, ultimate frizbee as well as arts and crafts. The Junior Club activities for children eight years old and older is divided into morning and afternoon sessions so youngsters can come for either or both sessions.
The Junior Crafty Club at the Hudson for children between aged between five and eight is offering an hour of arts and crafts and an hour of physical activities between 2pm and 4pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 26th October 24-26. Also on these days Hudson staff have organised messy play and a bouncy castle for the children under five (2-3.30pm). Children must be accompanied by a parent for the messy play activities.
The Football Madhouse sessions will run as normal on Saturday October 27.
It is advisable to book children in to these sessions to avoid disappointment as space is limited.
