HUNDREDS of votes were cast in pursuit of crowning our 2011 Pet of the Year - and we can now reveal our winner.
More than 60 pets were entered in this year’s competition, sponsored by The Pet Shop of March, for the chance to win a gift voucher and a framed print of their pet.
And after weeks of voting it was Barney the guinea pig who came out on top. Barney’s owner Tina Prior of Chatteris will receive a �25 voucher to spend at The Pet Shop.
Our photographer Brian Purdy will also visit for a photoshoot and will present a framed picture of Barney.
Second place - and winner of a �15 voucher - was English the cat. Third place went to Max the dog who receives a �10 gift voucher.
