A baseball bat was seized by police officers in Wisbech Road, March on Halloween night (Monday 31).
A police spokesman said: “Just a reminder it is not acceptable to carry this in public.
“This was just some young people, 14 to 15, who were carrying a baseball bat, presumably as part of a Halloween costume, at about 7.20pm. “They were taken back to their parents. Just an education thing really, that you can’t carry around a baseball bat in the street, even if it is for Halloween.”
Possessing an offensive weapon in a public place is an offence contrary to Section 1 of the Prevention of Crime Act 1953.
