A BBC Radio Cambridgeshire documentary about Wisbech has won a prestigious award.
‘Wisbech...is it little Latvia?’ won gold in the ‘diversity’ categrory at the Frank Gillard Awards, which sees all the local BBC radio stations fitted against each other.
The awards were held in Hull, with the prizes presented by Lord Tony Hall, director general of the BBC.
BBC Radio Cambridgeshire broadcaster Johnny D said: “The Rosmini Centre were a terrific help to me in recording a debate with migrants and long time Wisbech residents around the table.”
