Final preparations are being made for one of the biggest Fenland festivals -- this weekend's Straw Bear Festival at Whittlesey.And those who will be inside the straw costumes are pictured with the swords around which the Bears will be dancing on Saturday.The Saturday morning procession will leave the Ivy Leaf Club at 10.30am, and travel around the northern part of the town before returning to the club at about 12.45pm. The afternoon session will depart from the Ivy Leaf Club at 1.30pm and arrive at the car park of the Hero of Aliwal at about 1.45pm. The Bear will visit the Hero, Boat Hotel, and the Bee, before making its way to the Falcon and Bricklayers.Celebrations will end in the market place at 3pm.
