I READ with interest the article in the Citizen and the Cambs Times last week when Mark Petrou claimed that the bingo session on a Friday night was not well supported. This statement was totally untrue. In fact, the bingo night was the most supported night of the week with over 150 people attending per night and Mr Petrou did not, in my opinion give it a fair chance as he knew from the beginning that he only had a temporary licence for the bingo which limited the prize money and running of the session anyway to £2,000 per night. He also must have made a lot of money on the evening meals as there were few people who did not have one. I think that his attitude is rather an insult to all the people who did support it.
