Bomb disposal team deployed to March Road, Turves to remove and destroy grenade after sudden death incident

A bomb disposal team was deployed to a house in Turves yesterday when police officers discovered a grenade.

Police, forensics and paramedics were called to March Road at 11.45am to reports of a sudden death.

A police spokesman said: “While officers were at the property they discovered a grenade and the Explosive Ordnance Device team were deployed to the house to remove and destroy the items.”

The death is not being treated as suspicious.
