But chairman Darragh MacAnthony is only offering 10 of these at this price and for that sort of money he does promise something akin to first class treatment.

Which is just as well, as the price tag is about to set some kind of record that no doubt will already have attracted the attention of the Guinness Book of Records.

For comparison I checked the price of a season ticket at Arsenal, where you do at least get the certainty of Premier League opposition and the asking price there is a modest �1,825.
