GILL Lawrence, secretary of an organisation entitled NECCA – I guess it’s something to do with NE Cambs Conservatives – drops me a line to say that district councillor Steve Garrett performed at a Valentine’s coffee morning in Whittlesey – and sent me the photo to prove it.
“Over 100 people happily tucked into Valentine cakes and biscuits with coffee whilst enjoying listening to Steve and Dick Browns’ entertainment throughout the morning,” she writes.
“At times they were joined in song by Ronnie Moore and Mrs Ruth Ping. A very good time was had by one and all.”
She added that if I needed any more information to call her but I decided against it.
I was, I felt, getting into the territory us scribes regard as ‘information overload’.
