BREAKING NEWS: Cambs Police swoop following five Wisbech street robberies

POLICE swooped on a house in Sutton Bridge today and arrested three youths who they suspect of carrying out five street robberies in Wisbech.

On each occasion, said a police spokesman, a knife was produced to threaten victim and cash and mobile phones were stolen.

“The victims were usually white male teenagers,” said the spokesman. “We have arrested three males for robbery this morning – two aged 20 and one aged 19- at an address in Sutton Bridge.

“In addition we have seized stolen property at several addresses in Wisbech and Sutton Bridge linked to the robberies.”

The five street robberies reported to police happened on the following dates:

June 27: 6.45pm, Queens Road at its junction with Cannon Street

June 29, 2pm, Wisbech Cricket Ground, Harecroft Road, Wisbech
