ENERGETIC Brownies and Guides raised more than 750 for charity as they joined villagers by taking on the Manea Marathon.
The girls, aged 7-14, tried their best to complete at least 6 miles of the 26-mile event - equivalent to one lap of the course.
Three Guides, Hope Bissett, Katie Cribb and Olivia Thomas, managed to tackle 20 miles whilst Brownie Ellie Clark completed 13.25 miles.
Hope said: “We took part in the fun event to raise money for charity and we all had a great time on the day - although the weather wasn’t as nice as it could have been!”
Family and friends helped the youngsters along on the day. Money raised will be split between the guiding groups and a charity of the girls’ choice.
