Bob the Builder turns his hand to gardening by helping out Fenland Council's recycling team at the great compost give-away in the Asda car park in Wisbech.

The event, was the first in a series of initiatives being held throughout the next few months in Fenland to promote waste minimisation.

Visitors to the roadshow who bought a compost bin were presented with a free bag of compost and the event was well attended. The team was also available to answer any recycling queries and hand our re-usable shopping bags.

Four more similar events will be held in each market town between June and September. Fenland Council was recently presented with a Government Beacon Status Award for the efficient way it recycles its waste.
