THE monthly service at Burman House was conducted by Joyce Whitfield of Leverington who read a psalm and a poem she had composed, and gave a talk about storms and things related to the sea. Hymns were chosen by the residents and organised was Pauline Beeken who also served refreshments afterwards. Mrs Whitfield was thanked by Graham Beeken. The previous Tuesday residents enjoyed a musical programme by 'Sounds of Rowan' which included singing the old time favourites.
