MANY Fenland pensioners are still not getting a good enough deal from concessionary bus passes, the district council was told.

Labour leader, Councillor Steve Cawthorne, told fellow members of Fenland District Council that he welcomed the introduction of a county wide scheme, but it did not go far enough.

Portfolio holder Councillor Mac Cotterell replied that Fenland had led the way in persuading other district councils to come together to secure a deal for the whole of the county.
