A CAMBRIDGESHIRE based theatre ‘drapes’ manufacturer have installed flame proofed curtains at a 199 year-old buddhist centre.
Cameo Curtains Ltd completed a contract for the old ‘Festival Theatre’, now part of the Cambridge Buddhist Centre on Newmarket Road.
Soames Springthorpe, Sales Director, said: “We have made and installed large heavy velvet velour curtains for old theatres before, but never for one that is pre-Victorian and dates back to 1814.
“We even incorporated a discreet ‘pass-door’ so staff can nip on-off stage without the need to open the curtains fully.”
