An engineering company based in Wisbech has secured a key deal with a Russian firm to help it distribute its products throughout the world.

Herbert Engineering, which designs and builds equipment to process root crops and vegetables and employs 150 people, has appointed Moscow-based Rusbana Engineering as a distributor for Russia and surrounding countries.

Andy Hubble, Herbert’s commercial manager, said: “We were are delighted to have joined up with Rusbana Engineering and are looking forward to working with them in the future.

“There are enormous changes in the market in Russia. They are now more market driven and the consumer is looking for much better quality produce and we are very well placed to help Rusbana deliver the systems to achieve that.”
