A SHOP in Wisbech has been shortlisted for a prestigious national independent gift retailer of the year award.
The Octagon Gallery and Gift Shop is one of five stores to make the London, South and South East category of The Greats Awards 2011. Daniel and Sarah Kiff, the owners of the Market Street shop, will find out if they’ve won at a glitzy bash at London’s Lancaster Hotel on May 19.
The Octagon Gallery opened two years ago and sells a wide selection of artwork, gifts and homeware, Many of its products are made locally including jewellery, soap, pottery, purses, brooches and handbags.
More than 10 artists from the area also display their work at the shop which often holds monthly exhibitions.
The Greats Gift Retailer Awards have become accolades to strive for and the final has become one of the most exciting and vibrant presentation events in the country.
