Safe storage and handling of food, good hygiene practices and current legislation are among the topics that will be covered in a one-day food safety training course next month.
It is designed for anyone involved in cooking or serving food to the public, including staff in schools, nurseries and care homes as well as people who work in shops, restaurants and takeaway outlets.
The Level 2 Food Safety Training course, led by Fenland District Council’s environmental health team, will be held at The Base, Melbourne Avenue, March, on Friday, September 26 from 9.15am-4pm.
People who complete the course are awarded a nationally recognised certificate from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
Places on the course cost £64 per person, including lunch, or £99 for two people.
