Customers of the Three Tuns at Doddington celebrated St George's Day with a party and a sausage and mash supper.
Regulars say they were fed up with so little being in the Fens to celebrate the day, they decided that in their part of Fenland at least the country's patron saint would be toasted.
"Apart from a pub in Chatteris which was decorated and a travel agency in March- which had a flag in the window- there was not much happening in Fenland," said one customer.
