A sixth form student at Neale-Wade Academy, in March, has been offered a place at Cambridge University.
Digby Chappell, 17, has an offer to read engineering at Churchill College on the condition that he achieves the required A-level grades this summer – A* in further maths, A* in physics and A in maths.
Digby was awarded an Arkwright Scholarship in Year 11. The engineering scholarship provides supports through his A-levels and encouraged him to pursue engineering or related areas of design at university or through a higher-level apprenticeship.
He could also receive up to £12,000 towards his university studies through the scholarship.
Digby serves on the sixth form council at Neale-Wade and is working towards Grade 8 in piano.
